For over 60 years, the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal (MAC) has been a cornerstone of creative life in this city — a place where Québec and international artists, their work, and passionate audiences come together in celebration of art as an essential and deeply human experience.

As its beloved home in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles undergoes an exciting and transformative architectural renewal, the MAC has been temporarily embraced by one of Montréal’s most iconic landmarks — Place Ville Marie. And while this chapter at Place Ville Marie has now gracefully drawn to a close, the energy and spirit of the MAC is far from quiet. The space will soon welcome cohorts of Habiter le MAC — a truly one-of-a-kind support programme dedicated to nurturing and uplifting emerging artists from across Québec.

Throughout this exciting period of transition, the MAC remains as vibrant and engaged as ever, continuing to offer a rich and dynamic public programme — from cultural and educational activities to creative workshops, artist talks, inspiring lectures, and very special events.

The next chapter is coming. And it promises to be remarkable.
